| Against all odds, I now have internet access and a chance to update my xanga. My wireless connection just went on the fritz a few months ago, and free time has been somewhat nonexistent. But hey, here's a little update for you: - I recently (and I do mean very recently) switched jobs...The irony of working in a Deli got old, and I'm now employed at Fanning, Fanning Associates...An engineering firm, where I start my first day as a draftsman tomorrow morning. A nice professional job where I'll have a more secure access to a computer, with a more relaxed environment. - Not sure if I've updated since this happened, but I'm now off the market. I'm dating a really wonderful girl named Florine, and she's downright amazing. I'll have pictures up when I get a chance to upload 'em. - Went to prom for my THIRD time for Florine...It sure beat the hell out of my other two, but let's hope it's my last one. - Attended my first Juggalo concert, rare as they are, here in Lubbock...With the one and only Vanilla Ice. Due to water damage during the concert to my camera most of the pictures are blurry as shit, but I'll try to get some up here. - Found the most amazing game in the world, and I don't know what I ever did without it...Morton's List. Pretty tough to explain...But we've formed something of a group right here in Lubbock. You can have a taste of our craziness over at www.xanga.com/Inner_Circle_Of_Lubbock . Enjoy. - Have a few trips lined up for this summer... 1. Marble Falls, TX, where me and the majority of the Morton's List crew are going to spend a week at the end of this month, should prove to be an interesting experience that I'll definitely attempt to write about lol 2. The muthafuckin' GATHERING of the Juggalos in Cave-In-Rock, IL. Derek and I are hitting it up this summer, after much anticipation...Just bought my tickets, too...should arrive manana. And 3.....France! I probably won't have enough money for this until October...but at the moment, that's where Florine is going to be for awhile...so I'm going to do my absolute best at seeing her again ASAP. - And along with the France trip, I've been busting my ass learning French....merci beucoup. - And...I've ran out of stuff to say.. Hopefully I'll have pics up soon...Later! Much Love, ~Blake

| Yes! I'm still alive! I've seriously just put off updating this due to my serious lack in free time, plenty has happened..Some good, some great, some not..There will definitely be an increase in these updates once school is out, I don't plan to take 3-month breaks like this So, reader's digest version: I paid off my car! Finally! it's completely mine! I got my tax return, bought new rims and tires with it (scroll down for pictures)! Discovered a really great game, Morton's List, that Derek, Oscar, Me, Chris, and several others have begun to play every week, it's great and I don't know what I ever did without it. I've got more stories to tell every week. I've started working out/eating better. Made a bunch of great new friends and a new pool buddy (Chris). Taking a break from sword class due to the whole Sekiguchi visit and my lack of funds. Started a retirement fund. Installed green neons on and inside Chris' car.(Again..scroll down for pictures ) Been hanging out with Florine quite a bit and have many stories to tell with that crazy French girl . Gained permission to go to the Gathering in Michigan this summer w/ Derek (The Tempest just came out! Get your ass out there, buy it, and support the underground!) Found out I have to have all of my wisdom teeth pulled very soon....and...I'm out. If I left anything significant out, feel free to leave a comment and forever document it in history within my xanga
Pictures:
There we go, went straight from 13s to 17s. Decided to go with a muscle/aluminum look to match the spoiler.
And, if you can tell, the back end is lifted almost two inches from what it was...Yay for the muscle look..did that by myself because the new, ginormous wheels were having some trouble hitting the wheel wells (I can fix this completely by changing out the shocks...in time) Yeah, that's right, Limited Edition Hot Wheels rims I couldn't resist.
Really wish this picture was better quality..but his car looks amazing, it was quite a hit on St. Patty's (I had quite an interesting irish-thug-gyp thing going on, too...maybe I'll post that pic someday lol) Also, the entire backseat cabin area lights up green when the exterior lights are turned on hope he likes 'em!
Aaaand, I'm out this piece, much love to ya. ~Blake

| Soooo, I'm actually off today and the roads have frozen over, so I'm basically stuck in the house for awhile...hope ya don't mind me dropping another entry, with me being less sleep-deprived and my usual self...I read over my last entry and, to me, it really seemed like the only thing telling my fingers to move when I typed that was leftover caffeine from an hour earlier. I really ought to do some more relaxing (haha, Carly would probably say something like "no kidding" and roll her eyes to that..Homegirl knows exactly how much I put myself through on a weekly basis). I spent most of today doing just that, though. Getting to read, calling up a few buddies, even risked the roads for a nice, slow drive to a surprise party for Krisie. I even built a fire with nothing but a few logs and my Human Geography notes from my sophomore year. If you took that class with Mr. Perry, then you just might understand how pleasant it was to roast a 5-subject spiral CRAMMED with notes from front to back. Sure, it was a lot of work, but it was surely unwanted, and unneeded. That spiral was pretty much nothing but bad memories, so I'm glad that its ashes are floating around the atmosphere, hopefully far away. Most work I'd ever done in school, ever. Surprising Krisie and showing up with about 8 or so people was pretty nice, the look on her face was priceless. Nothing like barging our way into her house just because she refused to get out on the ice and have her "surprised" somewhere else lol Our little group was probably the most random thing you could imagine, the stragglers daring enough to get out on the ice and possibly turn our cars into a pinball game. It really wasn't that bad, but the only people that were really out were people in huge, lifted trucks that knew they could probably run over a curb, pedestrian, duplex, and church while sustaining minimal damage to their vehicle or ego...and that's somewhat unnerving. I parked in front of one while stopping at Market Street to get the cake, and, while sitting in my car, I am looking straight at their bumper...no shit. My little baby could easily get sucked into their suspension without a sound to the above cabin. And wow, that's the second "I hate big redneck trucks" rant in 24 hours on xanga, go me. I was planning to hang out with Mark and the rest of the crew tonight, but I hear it's going to just get icier, so I just decided to chill...and you know what? I'm going crazy. I can't stand just not doing something after working so much. I've pretty much cleaned my room into next year. So much for spending the night relaxing, huh? As for tomorrow, I'm just praying the weather gets a little better. I've planned to hang w/ Carly and Aaron and run them through a little more empty-hand training, and I'm probably also working tomorrow at some time, guess I'll find out. Anyways, much love to ya, be safe, and stay warm! ~DV

Update! Brand new background courtesy of Carly. I love it, a nice change of pace. Thank you soooo much.
| Some of you may have noticed the slight change in xanga-ness, I figured the old picture got old and so did the saying...wish I knew how to do all that fancy computer stuff so that I could make this thing look really good, someday I really haven't had too much time recently to just sit down and put in an update, though, my bad. So I guess I'll just have to do this again:
- I finally got a new cell phone! It happened sort've...spontaneously..but hey, I have some form of long-distance communication again, and it's nice. Badass little flip-phone, too..never really had one of those. My old phone was about as high-tech as The Wheel, so this whole "I can tell who's calling me!" thing is sweet. Carrie's friend Aimee just sorta gave it to me, plan and all, so thanks a ton, Aimee, you saved my life.
- I didn't make any new year's resolutions this year, but one just sort've happened. I'd really been planning on taking better care of myself for awhile, and about the time new year's rolled around, I really put in some effort. Just things for my general well-being, like better sleep-patterns, healthier eating (If you're thinking "oh whatever, he's a vegetarian"...you obviously haven't seen me eat) and all that. I even cleaned out my closet something serious, organized all of my clothes, and bought a new pair of shoes: http://www.journeys.com/catalog_detail.aspx?ID=39214 I'd have to say they suit me
- Got to hang out with the ol' Auto Repair Posse the past few days. We've swung up by our old stomping grounds at Lubbock High and just hung out and had lunch around there a few times. Just kickin' it like old times and bullshitting eachother to death. Mark and I got to hang out a little more, too, and mess with our cars a bit. Him and I are probably going to replace my shocks pretty soon, mine are really giving me hell. I just need to buy them and find a little free time.
- I have been working like crazy, I actually have tomorrow off (oh my god!) and I've got a few plans for the day, so it should be fun to relax a bit. Today was horrible, though...People were in lines at the registers all the way to the deli while I was working today. For really no reason other than the fact that it's supposed to get colder tomorrow...so the entire city of Lubbock decided to go grocery shopping! And to my terrible inconvenience, buy stuff at the deli while they were in line. Doesn't anyone have the sense to stay home when it's freezing and icy anymore? Or is it the fact that everyone in this city drives lifted Ford F-150's with monstrous tires? Who knows.
And, I'm out, it's been a long day and I really feel like sleeping. Much love to ya. ~Blake
| Hey, don't have much time to drop a real update, but I thought this little situation was worthy of putting down, as it happened about 20 minutes ago, and I'm still grinning about it.
So I'm in the rap section at Hastings, seriously pondering if I want to buy this Subnoize Souljaz cd, when this blonde kid comes up and starts looking, notices I'm there, and immediately became a statue, just staring at the cds. (Oh, we've all seen this, come on, it doesn't matter what color you are, if you like a certain kind of music, don't hide it) Anyways, the kid, who is maybe 16, sees his mom, who does not look too well off, walk by and grabs this Snoop Dogg cd and runs up to her, the conversation is as follows:
"Hey, mom, can I get this one?" *looks at it* "No, you can't listen to this, you can get the edited version." *kid sighs* "alright..." *mom turns cd over* "...Don't they have a greatest hits or some shit?"
At this point, they both stop their conversation and start looking at me, because I'm holding my cd of choice over my eyes letting out stifled, choking laughter..I had to grin and push past them before I just blew up laughing...Gotta love that censorship.
Much Love To Ya,
~Blake
